My first silkie baby ( :

Please help, everyone! So, I have this cute little Silkie chick, but since it doesn't have a puffy head I'm starting to wonder if it was a cross between a silkie and another breed? It's two weeks old, it has silkie traits, though. Here are some pictures :

I am not sure. I did have some in my last hatch that had kinda smooth heads like yours does. They are puffy now, not as puffy as the others. She is so cute anyway.

so this isnt about silkies per se but polish and sultan. ive now lost one polish and one sultan i have another two im kinda worried about. idk why i lost them they just got really weak/lethargic then got weaker and weaker till they slightly seized and died what can i do for the rest? (was supposed to have a total of 40 chicks)

I have a 2 week old Silkie that seems to be losing feather on the chest area, it's actually bare in one spot. Could it be sickly? It seems to be fine, doesn't act sick but I'm not sure if this is normal or not. Any ideas? She's also very skittish and does not like to be held, will this change over time?

We need a pic of the area. To tame the chick, enclose her in a pen and offer her feed from your hand. Do this for 3 or 4 days and she will warm up. Or she will learn way way later to run to you for food but she won't be a lap pet

Good evening everyone. I'm having a little problem with my Silkie chicks and was wondering if anyone else has had this experience and what they have done about it. I have 5, almost 5 week old Silkie chicks . Two of them were fighting this morning and drew blood on each other. I've seperated them since the fight but I can not get them to stop fighting. I don't know if this is a silkie thing or just a chick thing. The one who is getting kind of beat up has revealed himself to be a roo. People have said you need to wait months longer to know but it's pretty obvious. The other doesnt look like a roo yet but I think it is. She raises and drops her feathers behind her neck, do pullets do that this young? Has anyone succeeded in getting two chicks to like each other? It seems like they are at war. :( I love them both they're are tied for my favorites so I'm pretty sad. I made a post in raising chicks category but I haven't had much advice on how to get them to get along if it's possible
