Several look partridge and one looks blue. There are several different kinds of partridge so someone else should be able to give you more specific answers

Where did you find your mama and daddy silkies? Not specifics. But did you use a private breeder or whatever you could find locally (hatchery, etc)?

You know, I was really wanting a partridge. When I went to the feed store, it was the last on there. Was so happy to get him/her. She may not be a perfect specimen of Silkiehood, but I think she's cute and rather charming. Or he! Whichever. The blue ones look fluffier and better quality as far as that goes, but I'm so uneducated about how they should look at this age. Doesn't really matter, I guess. It's a start.

Looks like a blue and a partridge. Congrats on your first silkies! Your love affair will grow. Trust me.

Private breeders... most of mine I drove a couple hrs to go pick up and some were shipped eggs I hatched... a lot nicer to be able to hatch my own now, lol... their momma is now broody as a burr under a saddle...

That was a silly question. It's very obvious due to their absolute gorgeousness that they came from a breeder with good show quality birds.

There are actually two blue in there. One little guy is blending into the background. Am hoping to find a good source of eggs. I don't see being able to find good quality breeders close by for chicks and I just don't like the idea of shipping live chicks. Would love to hatch some. One day. At least I can learn something from these guys and they will be good companions for our family. Just hope they aren't all cockerels.
