No, not necessarily. He's probably just not show quality. Buffs are difficult to breed without black leakage. Here's one of mine that is pet quality. She has lots of black leakage in her wings and tail.My buff roo has developed quite a few black feathers in his tail. The tips of his wings still look like regular feathers at 17 weeks. Does this mean he is a mix?
Has anyone noticed a difference in temperaments between colors of silkies, in general? My buffs seem a lot meaner and high-strung than the other colors.
