Silkie thread!

I know I stated I would post this  a few days ago..But I got pulled into working 6 night shifts. :sick  Any how here are the pics of my gang.  I know its early to tell. But as I said before, based on behavior alone,
I thought I may have 4 roos and only 2 hens.:he   Let my know what every one thinks, I greatly appreciate it.
gonna have to agree with you on that. It is hard to tell in the pics who is who, but 3/4 of the birds (from bottom down) I'm gonna have to say 99.9% roo. The last couple pics could very possibly be female, but it's still hard to tell at this age.

Yes, white chicks are usually hatched yellow or smutty grey .

What kind of camera are you using? You capture your birds SO AMAZINGLY!

F3 cuckoo sizzles and cuckoo silkies due here in 1-2 weeks and next batch will be more cuckoos and blacks!!! I love breeding season to work on my projects!

I love cuckoo, but I don't have the patience to deal with all the pigment holes in their skin. Good for you for taking on that project!

I had 4 new Silkie/Sizzle babies hatch out under one of my broodies last night! 2 splash, 1 blue and 1 partridge. Now the waiting game to see if they're Silkies or Sizzles :celebrate

Oh lord my little One Eye (SilkieX) and Green (White Silkie) appear have gone broody. I can't decide if I'm happy or not. On one hand, my incubators are completely full so yay extra hatchlings! On the other hand, these are the ones who are supposed to be LAYING the eggs for me to hatch!!

These birds definitely know how to test someone's patience!

I had penned up several of my extra hens with eggs trying to get one to go broody after messing with my crappy incubator and none wanted to try for months and then all of a sudden one went broody and then one of my hens that i was breeding went broody. I say take full advantage!
