I got these 2 a couple of weeks ago , just wondered what the little ginger one is, I was told a gold top silky . Well I think that is what she said but my memory not so good these days

Well, as far as the SOP goes I never heard of a gold top silkie but then what do I know? "Ginger" sounds like an appropriate name for her! She looks like she has the makings of some sort of Partridge coloration. A little doll!

You are correct, she is a lighter coloured partridge .

Sleeping beauty has really got lighter last few days any idea on her color??? My breeder was thinking she my be from her porcelain silkie

Okay, so first, hello! And second I need help. So this spring I'm getting chicks for the first time and I had my heart set on EE's, until someone on my thread posted a picture of her silkies and I was like

I NEED THEM!!! so this is why I am on here, to ask for any information on silkies I can get my hands on! I live around wayland, dorr area in Michigan so if anyone has silkies they can sell or if they know where I can get some that would be GREAT! Thanks!

Okay guys my hen not good at hatching eggs she had ten eggs 6 Where not fertile 1 the cracked one that i put candle wax on she littlery bake the chick it passed, then 1 was hatching last night under the hen and i was very excited my very first hatch since i got chickens. And i wokeup this morning and the white shell part in the inside was hard and it beak was sticking out i opened it and she was not cheeping like last night and not breathing. But by now stiffniss should of kicked in she is still not stiff idk if they dont stiff up or could anyone tell me if you had the same issue? Nothing is going my way when hatching chicks! sorry if the pic is blurr my mom moved the camra before it could take the picture correct

i would check for a heat beat. No heart beat start CPR. If nothing happens it's gone.
