Your lucky cause I had 4 hatch this year with pink and they stayed pink.

Really that's weird I had for have pink and they all cleared up even my frizzles and sizzles have black feet! I am new to this tho so I only know my experience!!

Mavis has pink feet so she maybe a mix, which might be why her coloring is confusing.

Just because Mavis has pink feet she still may be a true Silkie -- certain Silkie colors can have blotchy pink and black skin but I can't for the life of me remember what colors can produce this anomaly. Maybe a Silkie breeder can explain further?

I occasionally have had a pink two or two. They've blackened up fairly quick.

Cuckoo can have mottled skin that stays that way.

my bantam babies that hatched out in late January. These are the ones we kept. I have a pheasant colored hen that is brooding right now so am hoping for more of those BUT we all know silkies and egg thefting lol

The partridge silkie's crest is much fuller than the other's crest. Can you tell pullet or cockerel? And what's up with the partridge's comb?

Hey Guys, An Update On The Wry Neck Partridge Silkie Chick!! I gave her some terri vet in her water, and gave her some yogurt and about 5 days she was better i think it was just the beginning and i caught it in time <3 She is better and jumping and flapping around with her 9 other siblings she is about i think a month and a couple weeks now!!! Also i had 6 silkie eggs in the bator and today they have hatched two of them came from my first hens and i have a paint hen that started laying in jaunuary and i had a paint rooster and i have a buff rooster. They both mated her but i got rid of the paint roo two weeks after i collected these so i think he might be the father of the black one, when 2 of her 4 chicks hatched right now one came out white i dont think i see spots i will take pic when dry. and the other came out straight black with half black half white feet and feet feathers and on the tips of his wings and bottom area is white could i have a moltted???? will take picture when dry!!! or what other colors could he be????

I Got The Pictures Of The Chick, So Far I Was Told That She Could Be Cuckoo Or Black Split To Paint???? Any Other Colors, Since I Hatched Her From My Birds I Will Keep Her To See What Color When Older And The Quality lol.

So we just set up our first coop! Going to look at chickens next week. I want to know some opinions on putting 2 silkies in with chickens. I've read they can be mixed. I live in DFW Texas,so cold shouldn't be an issue but maybe 2 weeks a year.
