Hen will keep them perfect temp. They will go under her when cold. I've had silkies brood chicks in freezing weather just fine

Your silkie will do just fine, but if you have low temperatures, you can put a heat lamp in there, just at night. Good luck and they are so cute.

I Desided to put OTHER HEN SHE USEALLY SHARES A BOX WITH! Bunny is my meanest hen everyone is scared of her! Moo has been pecking and pulling poop of the chicks they act like it hurts is that ok?? I know she has rased several batches of babies!

Can I ask please- is it normal for the skin on black silkies 'faces' to look driesh?

Wondering whether I should moisturise. A bit of Vaseline? coconut oil?

Not usually dry. Coconut oil is fine. Or my fav pic would be olive oil. doesn't draw bugs like coconut oil can, For the sweet aroma.
