Question about Roo behavior. My silkie chick that doesn’t like to be held is crowing at 6 weeks and has a comb. So I’m pretty sure that it’s a he. Being that it’s so unfriendly already will it be a nasty Roo when it’s older?

He has been handled and picked up but not as much as my other Chicks because he run and hides and won’t take treats.

Have you heard peeping if not the.chick is either dead.or very late try candling for movememt unless you hear peeping most likely dead. Time to start collecting more eggs and.try again. Sometimes they die at time of hatch. Usually a good reason either too weak or something wrong with chick. I have lost 3 this way in last two weeks. It's disheartening but probably for the best.

I had 6 eggs and none have hatched.... So there is no hope of them hatching? Why were they moving around if they are dead?

Okay so I counted again and the 18th was the day they were supposed to hatch. I mean, I put them in the incubator on February 26th, and today is March 26th.... All I know is that they were wiggling, but I couldn’t hear any chirping, although it may be because of the type of I bator... Janoel12. I know they are silkies... just look at the size of the egg and you will know they are silkies. I’m not at home right now, won’t be until 10 o’clock tonight (It’s currently 2:33 where I am). I may be able to get home at 6.... but that’s not a given. Should I try to help it hatch? I know my humidity is like... 40 or less in there, so maybe they need help? Plus I also opened the incubator yesterday, maybe they are strink wrapped?
I kept the temperature at 35.5 C, and the humidity has varied. During lockdown, the humidity shot up to 90...
I also started my lockdown on day 18 if this helps at all... Pray for me, and thanks in advance!! :fl:hugs:he

Guys do y’all have any good information for how to assist a hatch, and if I should or not? It’s day 28, and my eggs are rocking aggressively, but I don’t know what to do? Maybe they got shrink wrapped, I don’t know but 3/4 eggs were rocking and rolling.... What do I do??! Read the post above for more information...
