Silkie thread!

Breeding question... I only have one coop, and would like to breed true colors. The kids picked blacks, so we are in the process of switching over. I read somewhere that blacks and blues are the only colors you can mix and still get true colors? I am clueless.. Can someone help with some basic color knowledge?

So cute I love hatching babys the issue is figuring out what ones to keep... as of now of this seven chicks I wanna say I am only keeping this one... but then it comes time to sell them lol.. I think with how dark Zeus is bunny most be mom or my porcelain silkie hen.

What is your goal? She is very pretty in color for sure, but isn't pure silkie. If you are breeding for backyard fun, definitely keep her, she is pretty. I

I came home to find this!!! Being a new chicken owner... I would like some tips... thank you in advance!
Also, my two chicks I had were moved outside... where my dogs were. Somehow my dogs opened the gate and now I don’t have those chicks anymore... accidents happen, right? I know this won’t happen to these chicks...

I have a little partridge chick that looks like the two on the bottom! Very pretty! She is on the right in the top pic, and the second picture is a bit too bright. She is not as dark as the first pic. not as light as 2nd pic. Bad lighting.

Seeing as he is my only rooster I know shes not but his babies are actually worth alot more the silkies.. I have sold several babies for $60.00 each because the sizzle gene is highly sought after...

I am so tired of breaking up roo fights. One of my white silkies was a total bloody mess about a week ago it seems unless I break them up they will fight till death. I've never let one do it but it seems a couple of them would if I let them. OMG no wonder silkie breeders are scarce. My roos are all in separate pens now. They don't like it but it's better than letting them continuously fight for hens.
