How does everyone keep there coops so clean? I clean mine but it only lasts a couple of days at most.

I run a rake across the top of the shavings every morning and evening to get most of the poo. Usually by the end of the month I need to add fresh shavings because most of them have been removed.

Hatched our first chicks. I am guessing they are blue cream. One is a very light Partridge (not sure what shade, but you can see Partridge Gene) and one is white. Here are a few pics. Any color help is appreciated.

Top two I would (really uneducated) guess to be blue cream. 3rd is Blue laying down & Partridge standing.

Either way I will have fun watching their colors come in!

Ok I bought these eggs on lin this one hatched day 23 its still alive afree night one. Is it going to die or can I do anything for it?? Please help

Get it heated up. Do you have an incubator? Put it there or on a heating pad or heat lamp. It looks like it just hatched

It did I have never seen the stomach like that before.

How is it doing? It was where it absorbed the yolk. Looks pretty normal.

Can anyone tell me if chicks will have beards when born or do they grow in if they will be bearded?

The front yellow one is bearded the back yellow one is not.
