That's the trouble, and the suspense with silkies. You never really know anything for positive on some until they are around four months old or one crows.

Frizzles are even worse! I had one I changed sex on about four times, and finally it was around six months old and crowed. Then I knew for certain! It hadn't gotten a large comb until it was around a year old.
