Silkie thread!

If you cross a white silkie and a blue silkie will you get splash? I am trying to think of what i might get if my blue/splash silkie chick ends up being a roo and i cross him with my white silkie hen

I am going with splash chic....
To make splash :
Splash to Blue= 50% Blue and 50% Splash
Blue to Blue= 50% Blue, 25% Splash and 25% Black
Splash to Splash= 100% Splash

Seriously thinking about getting some blue/black/splash silkies.

Need to cover the rest of the pens first. Maybe over the next couple months. I dont know, somebody talk me out of it.

Well i just candled my Silkies eggs and so far 5 out of 6 are developing! The only sad thing is that none of the eggs are silkie eggs

But at least my silkie hen is hatching eggs for me

I just had a decent lil hatch from my Silkies and I thought I would share some pics.

Here is four of our Paretige (even though I have no idea were I got these).

Not all white are yellow I have 2 white chics from 2 different breeders 1 white gold base 123muki
1 white silver base from sunshine silkies..and side by side you can tell the gold and silver apart..I will have to get a pic so you can see the difference...

I use to be a silkie hater until I saw a buff silkie rooster a few days ago and I like feell in love. Never had any desire to have silkies until I saw this buff!!! I want some I'll be watching this thread
