Also, if anybody here has bearded b/b/s (dont care if they are together or blue by itself, etc) or bearded buff and want to do an egg trade PM me. The only thing you must be NPIP certified and I will need your number or a copy of your certificate. Also, parent stock must be free from any DQ's and no hatchery birds. Thanks.

Sundown your silkies are just gorgeous!

I have a question for all you silkie people

I got my first silkies in Feb, and we have a girl and a boy! All the kids love them, my two nieces want one lol, so I was thinking about hatching a few for them next year, but was wondering about the colors. The boy is a partridge and the girl a blue. What would I get? I'm not looking to show them or anything, just curious to the colors I might get. Thanks

If they don't have any funky colors in there background as in the mom of the blue was white ect. You will get what they call blue partridge.
I love the blue partridge!

Ok thanks! I dont think there is any funky colors in thier background, as far as I know lol. A friend of mine had gotten some pure eggs from someone and hatched them and then my kids picked out these two. I was just hoping if I wanted to hatch some babies from them I wouldnt get some really wierd color lol. But blue partridge sounds nice

I'll have to look and see if I can find any pictures on here and see what they look like.

What would I get crossing a buff roo with black and blue hens? Also, here is a picture of my buff pullet! She is about 10 weeks old in the picture.

Hi again! I was looking on here for pictures of blue partridge and seeing other pics, I am not sure my boy is partridge. The other partridge silkies I see on here are a lot darker in color. So just wondering if he is, if not what color is he?

Heres some pics of him:
