Below is what got us into silkies. We never intended to have them but had a bad hatch with only one chick and had to find same age companions quickly and silkies were it. Have no idea of the quality, but he's a cute guy regardless. I think he's a cross between a red roo and a partridge hen. If I got a red hen, would the resulting chicks be 50/50 solid red / partridge red?

Merry Christmas everyone! yes, i do think the little cockeral will make a great painting- hmmm... wonder if i can use that as an excuse to get more??

He's named after my beautiful red husky, Dylan, who past away a few years ago.
