I saw the silkie thread and had to visit. i love love love my silkies..I need to get new pics of them .we were flooded last July and lost our home and had to rebuild so I no longer have colors seperate.. My goal is to get some pens up this spring and get them seperated again..My fav color for the last couple years has been silver ,lavender and what I see called paint silkies to me Ive always called them splash ..i have been trying to get cuckoo color going and have several very nice hens and and a couple nice roos ...I dont know alot about the genetics of this color so do I breed these nice hens back to the cuckoo roos or do I breed them to black roos...anyone working on this color have any knowledge of where to go from here?

Her crop didn't empty over night like I hoped and she still is lethargic with droopy wings and poofed up. I don't know what to do now.
I'm holding her food but giving her olive oil and yogurt.
She was sickie to start with and now with her crop acting up the poor thing must be miserable. She still pretty spunky though with the complaining and cheeping so I think she'll pull through, I hope...
