I bought a used Rcom mini on e-bay about a week ago. Eggs were down to 15 days left.....I just walked in to find it not working. Temp is down to 30C. Im assuming the ac adapter went bad. Pls help

They will be fine. When cooled, incubating eggs enter a suspended state and will start incubating again when you get the heat back up. It might make them hatch a day late. Obviously, they need to start incubating again as soon as possible.

MyKids, I too find that my silkies have pasty butt way moe than the other chicks. However, I have also noticed that the sugar water does that, so I just do sugar water the first day. And I too think that the blue look grey.

Try this for pasty butt- sprinkle a little play sand on top of their feed. I did this when raising Seramas and clears it up and then started as soon as they hatched..stop it from even starting.​

I know this may sound silly but to keep mine from having pasty butt about 3-4 days old I put a little Vasoline around the vent has worked wonders for me.

Thanks for the ideas. I'll get some play sand this weekend. I don't add sugar to their water but with all of the problems I've had, I do add vitamins. No more dead chicks today so maybe I can stop that as of next-water-changing. And I'll find some vaseline!

Am in the process of hatching my first Silkie!!!! 2 more pipped...strange thing though they just went into lockdown last night! Is this common for silkies to hatch earlier?? My olive eggers have not sign of hatching yet.
