Awww They are soooo cute. I think your silkie is a hen. But you'll know for sure if it starts crowing.

One of my splash silkies went broody the other day... im excited but nervous because this will be her first brood.. she is only sitting on three eggs and all are developing well so far. My white silkie also went broody and just hatched out 4 chicks, wich will be her second hatch with me so far. the first time she hatched out 6 chicks. everytime i have geven her her eggs she has hatched out every single one. Hopefully i will finally get a silkie chick to hatch from my splash and survive until udult hood! But anyways, she is due to hatch her chicks between March 18-20th.
So with this, i officially LOVE silkies and want to hit myself because i didnt order any with my meyer chicks order

BUUUTTT orchelns has Blue/Splash silkies right now and will get more later for chicks days so maybe,if my parents allow, i can put a few silkie chicks under her.

really? i am near Akron. I just got a silkie from meyers (along with several other breeds lol) she was the only silkie in the bunch and i could not pass her up!!!Now im thinking i cant have just one!
