Silkie thread!

WOOO HOOOO! My bbs silkies are ready to go! I have one blue cockeral, a splash pullet, and two blue pullets! They are all from Bobbi Porto and Glenn See lines! They are all gorgeous! If the weather is nice next weekend, I'm going to an outdoor photo shoot and I will be sure to post pics! Can't wait for them to start laying! I'm registering my dba name soon and I just got NPIP certified! My husband has his plans for the new coop/run and I think it will be fabulous! I hope to hatch some chicks for me and then start selling hatching eggs! I'm so excited (If you can't tell from my over use of exclamation marks) HAHA.

I just pulled one of my white hens from a breeding pen from request of my cousin wanting to show her. Wow her crest is not as full and her leg feathering is horrible with mud. Chicken washing tonight...LOL Leave inside in a pen for a few months maybe she shall be ready for him by then.

I ordered eggs from you earlier last year, 2 hens and 3 roosters hatched.

They should start soon. What % protein feed do you have them on? I find they do best on a 20% feed.

I will be listing an auction for 6+ buff eggs tonight on ebay. I'll put the link up here and my website. The Brinsea is full. Looks like I will have to start up the other incubator soon. Thought I'd mention it incase anybody is interested. Not sure how long till I will list more after this one ends. Probably once the calls start laying and I need to fill the incubator up with those.

I use to run my humidity between 50-55 and turned it up to 65-70 on day 18 I had alot of chicks drown so someone told me to run my humidity lower. I run it now between 35-45 not letting it go below 28% and turning it up to 65-70 on day 18 and so far I'v not had any drown.

17% right now, plus treats.
I will see about finding a 20%, what we're feeding them now is feed store's layer ration.
