I just had a black baby born today. It was out of good stock, out of a black hen that I bought at a show. Two of the ends of it's toes are pink. I've heard that they should turn black.....is that correct? Here is a pic:

They are super cute! Docile, easy to handle and a pleasure to be around. I don't think a prettier chicken exist, but I'm partial to my Silkies.

Does anyone know or have a photo of the right color for a Partridge Silkie? I have seen many but they seem to very in color, so wanted to know what ones to keep and what to cull out.
