I was looking at my lavender babies today is it a good sign they are dark or should should they be a bit on the light side?

Thanks for all the comments on my little girl Brianna!

But now I will have to show her sister, appropriately named Sissy! LOL This little girl is the one I had posted a little bit ago that had the impacted crop and also wry neck. Well, she is back to herself except for her topknot! The poor thing!!! She apparently had dunked her head in the oil soaked bread I gave her for the crop problems and is still sporting the greaser look! LOL

Joe17, all of your silkies are absolutely gorgeous!!! I love them all!!!

How are you keeping your birds cool right now?

Water and more water with ice in it. Misting, shade, fans & pans of water to stand in. I *think* it's about to cool off a bit

Some of my birds are taking it better than others but I don't even like being outside when it's closer to the 110 mark I can't imagine living somewhere hotter!

If you got them from a breeder that has shown, then I would say your chances are better to have breeder/show quality silkies!

How old are yours?

They are nine weeks old, were going back soon to get a blue one he has that's only 5 weeks old!
