Hello All! I really have been enjoying reading about all your Silkies! And the pictures are fabulous! And I appreciate the advice some of you provided while helping me try and determine the sex of a couple of my chicks on another page. I have been concerned since I live in a no crow zone..... I heard a lovely sound yesterday morning. At least it is to me!!! I ran out side to look at the coop because I thought for sure it was going to be my little buff silkie, but i was wrong! Standing in the middle of the coop just as tall and proud and puffy as can be was my really fluffy grey silkie! It looked right at me and Cock a Doodle Dood!!! Well, not quite as smooth as I'm sure he will be, but it was pretty!!

His picture is below and I will post in the for sale section. I don't think he is of show quality or anything, but he is the sweetest little boy and about 11 weeks old. Does anyone have any other ideas for re-homing roosters in the Bay Area? I'm still thinking my buff will start making noise soon. Most unfortunate as they are the two sweetest and most inquisitive of the group!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks again for all the information posted and the pictures!

Here are a couple of 4 day olds. Would you say that the chick on the right is black or blue? Some of it's toes are pink on the ends. It looks like it is wearing white socks.
