Silkie thread!

I'm enjoying his/hers? 'ugly' stage as well. He's very cute. I think the reason some people are seeing hard feathers are because 1. He needs a bath, the guy didn't wash him before selling him and he's dirty. 2. Cell phone camera. Plus his cochin pal in the background.

I really appreciate all the answers. Any guesses on gender? The gender thread said he looked like a boy because his comb is so filled out already. But if you think he's a pullet, I'd be plenty happy having a her too.

Could she be splash? I had a bird that looked really similiar to yours and she ended up getting her "splash" markings very late.
