Maybe partridge or leaky blue?

How do you eventually tell the difference between a blue partridge and a leeky blue??

White X Blue = who knows. White on colored birds is tricky. I've been told the white could be hiding colors underneath.

Blue X Blue = 50% Blue , 25% Black & 25% Splash

Not could be...IS. ALWAYS.

Partridge have penciling, and show red/gold in all the appropriate areas for the gender. Leaky blue shows red/gold/silver/golden only in the hackle.

Thanks! I'll add this to my notebook!

I don't think so. I think there pretty easy to raise. Like appychick said, check them for bugs. Possibly they have mites and maybe thats killing them. Do you use any stuff for mites/lice? I use Permethrin 10% spray on the younger birds and also make sure to spray their run/coop/bedding.

I dont have mites or other bugs. Well, now that I think of it, I did get some Silkie chicks from a local breeder. I didn't check them for bugs, but 2 that died were from those. I'll have to go & check them out. I worm with Ivermectin, so that pretty much kills most everything. But, these silkies have not been wormed with it yet.

I'll go check them just in case...
I hope its as simple as that...cause I hate to lose more. I only have 3 left...I've been lucky and never had mites.
