It could have come from an injury or a vitamin deficiency. My girl had wry neck because she had an impacted crop and of course did not get proper nutrition. Once I got the impaction cleared and then started her on poly vi sol and added vitamin E it had been corrected and she is now fine. I could see definite improvement in 3 days. But with you just getting her, it will be hard to know the cause of the wry neck. You might want to try the vitamin supplements first. I had to mix chicken feed with water so it was like a mash, I then added the poly vi sol without the iron and I cut the tip of a vitamin E capsule and squirted that in as well and mixed it up. I then had to feed her the mash on a spoon because she just could not eat on her own due to her neck position.
