I thought I'd finally say something,been looking at this theard for ages.
Everyone has such beautiful silkies.
I've had silkies for a year in december.
I love them.
looking at everyones pictures makes me want to have even more.
I have between 13-15 eggs hatching soon and I had to rehome 6 of my 6 week old silkies
Hi everyone, well I have a pair of silkies that I had put in with my RIR girls. They picked on the silkie hen awfully. Well she went broody so I pulled her out so she could hatch peacefully. While she was out of the pen, of course adonis my black silkie roo was getting alittle fiesty. The RIRs are bigger than him. I caught him one day waiting for them to get in their dust holes and bam he wasn't too small then.
well I decided to just see if he was fertilising any of the RIRs. Put 3 brown eggs in incubator and this is what has hatched so far.
he/she has 5 beautifully placed toes on each foot
pretty colors
the other 2 eggs are pipping now. So now I have mutts. My husband loves them.
