But I don't have BR, I do have LF EEs and LF Polish with my Sizzles/Silkie and they're okay... but consider dynamics and pecking order:

(if you're still considering co-mingling) How many BR do you have that are "aggressive" and established in your flock? They could be removed and reintroduced, falling them down the pecking order ( but your Silkie is kind of young - I'm sure your BR are adults).

Also, sometimes it's easier if your Silkie can see, use 14 Day Blue Painter's Tape for the crest (it's less adhesive).

Good luck and share pix of the little guy/gal when you can!

Welcome to the silkie thread, Chad! Just read your introduction. I pray you stay safe in Afganistan! Your flock is beautiful!

I have a question about my Silkies. I know they dont like to roost at night but with the nights getting colder im concerned for my 3 little hens. They sleep huddled together on the floor of the coop very close to the chicken door. I'm concerned that they may catch a draft and get too cold. Is there anything I can do to change where they choose to sleep? Maybe certain accomadations just for them. I have a large 6X6 coop so I have room. Any ideas are much appreciated. Thanks
