no its not because they're silkies, the hens are just being territorial, alot of birds do that, my mother in law had chickens and when she introduced her pullets with her hens they got pecked at and everything, we had to keep introducing them for almost a week. just keep trying it and they'll realize that he's kool enough to join their flock

I wanted to post some pictures of my silkies and to get some feedback on their coloring. Rooster #2 and Hen #3 have some brown coloring around their neck. #5 Chick is so much lighter than Rooster #1.
