Does she have barring on her wings? I have a pullet who i've been told is gray, she came from a b/b/s. She has barring on her wings. I'd like to enter her in a show, but was wondering about the barring.

Many, many years ago, all my grays had barring/penciling in the wings. "Lilly Anne' pictured in the previous photo is 10 years old and she does have barring/penciling in her wings.
However, according to SOP, there is no mention of barring/penciling in the wings of a gray female.

I MARVEL....HOW DO GET THEM TO STAND SO STILL TO TAKE A PHOTO? They are perfect. Regards, Aria

One of my Silkie-Xs finally decided to go broody. Why now??? If I've figured correctly, the eggs beneath her should hatch around November 12. I ignored her puffing and hissing to feel around the legs and feathers, and she has two eggs under her breast feathers. She was mighty angry at me by the time I was through, but she didn't move a millimeter from those eggs. I'm going to let her run the whole course and see what happens!
