So sorry. Hopefully some are hiding in a safe place and reappear in the morning. Either way, try to focus on the ones you have and it will get better. I had such a discouraging start with chickens but finally everything is going very well now. I've learned chicken keeping has its ups and downs. The cute little buggers are worth it!

this summer 2 weeks before show our dog killed 10 showbirds and 3 the day of the show how i dont know they get put up on super high shelfs we dont own plastic cages cause she breaks those so we only use metal kennels now...well she figured out how to open those too. but look for your birds in the morning i had a pair of rosecombs go missing for 2 days i found them in my neighbers garden sleeping in a bush

that why my chickens are all in dog proof areas i have run a kennle have 10 to15 dog here all the time
i had dogs kill all my birds twice when i was in high school

ya she just started getting this way she has cushings in her brain which is affecting her personality and making her hungry and thristy all the time. one day we caught her climbing up our 6 ft fence around coop thank god it had net top. and she has alot of other health problems too she only has a month or 2 left before we have to put her down. this year she just started getting a liking for chickens otherwise she use to go into coop with us and what not

I lost a dog to cushings several years ago. It's a tough thing to deal with and the medication to give them more time is hard on them, it's actually a chemo drug if I remember right, I had done some research on it. I understand what you're going through and am very sorry to hear your dog has it.
