Yes I know but some are true lemon blues!

Note that I said MOST were not; I didn't say that none are. Problem is people hear a name, and without a clue of the standard think it sounds right for "their colour." I never expect a project to be perfect, especially in the beginning, but I do expect that terms that are already in use will be pretty close to the goal, or else a different term should be used.

A bird that has both blue and lemon colouring is not lemon blue. It also needs to have the correct colours and patterns in the correct places.

Which raises another topic regarding color. The names used. Sonoran you know about the conversation regarding the Porcelain and whether or not they can be called that since Silkies would never meet the standard already established for porcelain. So a new descriptive color name is needed.

It also points out some of the issues with some of the recognized colors. Was it you that pointed out that gray does not meet the color standard and probably never could? And the issues with buffs.

My point is, you can't just call a bird a recognized color if it can never meet the standard already set for other breeds.

I love her! She looks silver partridge or grey to me.

I'm not good at the colors and all that, but my first thought was grey.
They look darker though? Maybe it depends?
Not familiar with the silver partridge.
I like her light colored neck and chest... I hope it stays light?
