IA. jake :

I have a question for all you other silkie lover's. Are showgirls an APA bird?

Not recognised by ether APA or ABA. Enter as an AOV silkie, for example: "bantam bearded white showgirl silkie hen" or "bantam non-bearded paint showgirl silkie cockerel."

Regardless of whether the colour variety (white, blue, buff, paint, blue partridge, etc.) is recognised or not, as a showgirl they are not recognised.

when shown they are naked neck silkies
showgirls are aov

So they can't be shown at the fair?

Depends on your fair and its rules. In most cases non-recognised varieties can be shown, they just cannot place higher than Best of Variety or Best AOV (all unrecognised varieties for the breed).

I'd say first one is cochin; 2nd is silkieX, probably crossed with cochin.
