Thank you all...it feels good to be able to tell people who truly understand how we feel about our chickens...I am in some shock but they are free now and in no pain.

My other 4 babies (2 silkies and 2 ameraucanas) had some collards and grain bread before bed and a liitle heat lamp to help them with the stress. All are asleep and tucked in.

I have 24 Catdance eggs in the bator due on december 1...a lesson learned.
