She is! I can't believe it, shes cleaner than the other 2 regular feathered white birds I have here (a sultan and an EE) - she stays outside on either grass or mulch. well I say she, because I got her thinking a girl, but now I don't know...I think its actually a boy, but a few people say no - looks girly still...Don't know if they are streamers coming in, or just crest filling out (that age plus the crest is full of pin feathers)

I have a young white Silkie, who I just found out a couple weeks ago IS a boy, and he needs a bath! I'm sure he'll roll in dirt right after though!

A reason (there are several reasons) for being "super" white is she is based on Silver and not on gold. This means she can't become yellowish by sunlight nor by food that contain carotine (as carrots but also maïs).

"gray" is a too general word for these different colorations !
Would be the same to say "black" for blue, Splash and lavender (self blue) birds.

gray is a apa regnised color there are many verations of gray just mater who is breeding them
