Are these by that awesome guy of yours? Soooo adorable!!

actually no these guys are from Geri Godina - shipped eggs 10 of 14 hatched so I can NOT complain at all, and they are AMAZING! 2 of my partridge girls are on eggs and the other is still not laying even though her 1 chick is 5 weeks old *sigh* so I am not getting any of my own partridge eggs right now, do have 2 of Jonah's kids in the brooder though.

This is my one and only "slkie" cockerel. I hope to have many more since I love this dude. He is so funny doing his dance and protecting "his girls" none of which are silkies so far. I do have some eggs in the incubator and waiting to see the results. Only Two silkies, both from bearded splash eggs shipped from NY.

His name is Victor and I believe he is from CJsilkies in PA

I think tha he is gorgeous and i need more. If my eggs do not hatch and even if they do I will be looking for additional beautiful silkies

ScaredOfShadows the chicks in your pictures are just gorgeous. Sure hope they grow up nicely. Wish that I could have such a successful hatch especially from shipped eggs. How far did the eggs need to travel and were they shipped or picked up ?

Guess what! I finally have eggs by my roo developing. About half are still clear so either he doesn't like all the ladies or the way below freezing temps are destroying some. Did you ever try the AI?

That is FANTASTIC!!! I would be jumping up and down if I had any eggs actually developing!! I still have some in my incubator I'm giving a shot, but I think might be clear, too. There are a few of them I can't tell. I was making french toast the other day, and one hen's eggs were infertile, and the other one was fertile. I about fell over, I couldn't believe it. But I have a feeling it might have been a fluke?? I don't know. Anyway CONGRATS on your silkie eggs!! I hope they hatch for you. :) My little broody is sitting on two eggs I let her keep, but I'm pretty sure they are infertile. I'll probably go ahead and try to candle them in a couple more days and see. Shes already had them for at least 4 days or so.

ahhh-- I didn't read down far enough yet. Yay on having an amazing hatch from shipped eggs!! Tell me something-- do you think they still had a shot if their air sac had come loose? I just got shipped eggs and 5 have intact sacs-- they others are loose and wiggle when I turn the egg. But I can still clearly see the air sac... Hope your girl starts laying again!
