Are you sure you can't coop the birds in the night before? Usually when folks come from far away, you can coop in the night before.

I don't know!! The leader didn't mention it, even when I was waffling back and forth on what to do with the birds, she was pretty quiet on it. Hmmm... I'm sure there will be a next time that we have to travel that far for a different show-- so NEXT time I will ask and hopefully they will let me do that. Thank you for suggesting that! Far better than sleeping with my birds. hehe!

Just candled my shipped eggs from Susanne of HuckFarm--the ones the post office couldn't budge for three days from the processing center one hour from my house--and they are doing great! Hooray!!! Out of 24 eggs, all but three are developing and look great for this, day 8, and all six of the paint eggs are looking good!

If any of y'all hear screaming, don't worry, it's just me letting off a little happy steam!

Oh, and that was a lovely blue pullet pic--Peepsblessed, I think it was yours? Such a pretty girl!

Hey silkie peeps! I was hoping you could help me solve a weird conundrum? we just had some babies hatch and their colors are throwing me off. what are these little chipmunky guys?



Dad is sort of silvery columbian and mom is either a black or a white silkie. Im so stumped?

She's beautiful! I don't think her crest is too small. You're right, her wings are really tight! Not a long back... I don't know, I am not great at critiquing. But I wouldn't pass her up, she's really pretty. I love blue.

And I think that I need her for Victor's special friend ?

Thanks! We incubate in our Brinsea and hatch in our hovabator and have had really good hatches with out own eggs. Now I'm trying not to hope too hard we'll get a one hundred percent hatch from these guys!

OMG are they not TOO cute!?! And thats saying something since I am not a fan of showgirls (though my daughter is) The chipmunks are Partridge

I have 2 dozen eggs coming this week assorted lot of silkie and showgirl eggs. I think most are going to be BBS. My daughter is excited, shes been dying to get her some Showgirls. lol
