Silkie thread!

She's beautiful! I don't think her crest is too small. You're right, her wings are really tight! Not a long back... I don't know, I am not great at critiquing. But I wouldn't pass her up, she's really pretty. I love blue.

Thank you, Hawkeye! So you don't think her crest is too small? I think my roo has a bigger crest that her but I think she's awful nice.

Just candled my shipped eggs from Susanne of HuckFarm--the ones the post office couldn't budge for three days from the processing center one hour from my house--and they are doing great! Hooray!!! Out of 24 eggs, all but three are developing and look great for this, day 8, and all six of the paint eggs are looking good!

If any of y'all hear screaming, don't worry, it's just me letting off a little happy steam!

Oh, and that was a lovely blue pullet pic--Peepsblessed, I think it was yours? Such a pretty girl!
I know exactly how you are feeling! I have paint, lavender and porcelain going into lock down on Tuesday! I can hardly sleep!

Thanks for the compliment!

aw shucks thanks you guys! I thought partridge but didnt know that it was possible with mom and dads color combos. Chickens are strange, lol!

dad was sort of silvery columbian and mom was either a black silkie or a white silkie. I have a picture of the pop...

the silkies were pure in color though.

Get a phone number for the show secretary or superintendant and call and ask. The cages will have been set up at least the day before, so there is probably no reason you couldn't put your birds in the night before. Heck, even volunteer to help set up cages if that is what it takes.
