I've got to get a new silkie rooster. I got mine from a hatchery and he looks horrible, and he is aggressive. i
guess thats why you don't get hatchery silkies.

I had to bring this baby inside, I have 3 12 week olds and 2 1 year olds,,and I don't want to chance her getting hurt. So yes,poor little silkie is inside with us,for the time being.,and seems perfectly happy .

I live in Connecticut how far are you from the border? I can give you a nice breeder quality cockerel if you'd like. I have A nice Blue Boy or a Buff Boy

OMGosh, Beth, these birds are fantastic looking!! Gorgeous!! I LOVE your Partridge roo!! So jealous!! We're just starting, and I'm going NUTS over my infertile eggs! LOL I want more silkies!! Besides, so far, we have nothing to contribute to our 4-H book so far on the hatching project. Sigh. Are your little beauties running free range on that wooded property? It looks like heaven over there!! I sure wish we had more trees out here. I'm working on it every year planting in more trees, but by virtue of living on the plains, things don't grow very fast here. Last year, I had to set up lots of shade cloth and water misters on everyone to keep them cool. I had hoses running everywhere. Anyway, I love your birds!!
