Thats just it i didn't get them as hatching eggs, I got the already hatched from meyer. I think it might have been an incubator problem, they threw in 5 extra in the order i think to make up for them.

Ha! No he didn't change colors. I worked on his dingy yellowish fluff right under his chin and it's still off colored, but a bit lighter. I'm worn out, and I give up for now. I may try again tomorrow with the vinegar. But we're leaving in the morning, so we'll see. I'm bringing it all with me so I can touch him up when we get there.I forgot to wish you a great and prosperous show weekend! Hope you got your boy clean and he hasn a't changed colors!![]()

I just put mine in the sink, and get the water nice and warm and spray them down and suds them up and then wash them out. Takes several minutes really getting everything scrubbed good and rinsed out well. I am just using Hartz puppy flea wash. I did go back and use Dawn on the feathers below their vent-- since those were very dirty and off color. It got it pretty clean and got most of the dingy out. Here is one of mine being washed-- and then I blow dry them out. The blow drying takes about an hour and then I leave them in the house to finish drying out because even after blowing out for an hour-- they are still damp.what all do you usually have to do to clean a silkie for a show?
