Born yesterday!

OH MY GOSH!!! I'm over come with the cuteness of these chicks!!!!!!!!!!

My son took pix and is sending them to my email so I can post them. Their feet are not black so I'm starting to think they are just Bantams
I was told they were Silkies when I got them.

Sounds like you got something else. But that's okay,if they are sultan, those are really pretty too!

Ok I cannot decide how many hens/ roos I have!! There is a man who is buying all my roosters but wants two hens. My question is I have 3 roosters with redder combs but there is another one that Im not sure about. It seems like all but 2 of them have little long streamers coming out the back of their heads. Do hens get this too? Also I have some that have long wirey feathers coming down their necks. Does that mean roo?

Please help! I dont want to sell hens....

Rooster? I have 2 that look this and then one partridge. But my blacks are getting streamers but no combs!

I would NOT be too quick to judge boy or girl if it's not overly obvious. The breeder that sent me my birds sent me an extra "boy". Nope, she turned out to be a girl! She had "streamers" coming in, but what it turned out to be, was really her crest was just growing in a bit larger and fuller. It all turned out beautiful-- it's my broody that I've posted with my new baby chick. That was supposed to be my extra boy. LOL Anyway--- on your white, I just don't know, but I'd lean towards boy because his crest is kind of flat and not quite as round as a pullet would be. Then again... it could be a pullet and her crest is just now starting to come in!

Go to your Profile at the top of the page. Then go thru the process of Uploading your picture there-- at the bottom of your Profile it will say Avatar and albums, etc... and it will have an Upload button. Upload and then once you have clicked thru that process, you can click on the picture to make it full size on your screen and then do a Right Click on the picture, and then come back here and do a Control V (paste) into your message box.

Question for all you silkie owners, what do you think about these two silkies? I got them this past Saturday. The bigger one was born 3/28 and the tiny one 4/3. Why is the little one so tiny?? Do you think he is a runt? Or do you think the larger one is so large that it may be mixed with something else? I just find it odd that these two are only week apart and there's that much difference in size. Or maybe I'm just over thinking? (And yes the little one only has 4 toes LOL)

My small ones usually catch up to the others but 5 days makes a big difference because they grow really fast!
