OMG!! Perfect!!
Wow, that took a lot of work to get your Silver base. Some other time I'd love to see how you got the Columbian color! I'm not ready for that yet, I'm just learning! But that is a color that I love. So sorry about your roosters. You can be proud of your work![]()
No such thing as stupid questions. I not know for the US Silkies but the EU Silkies Black, Blue, Splash, white are about all gold based. We have here Silver Mulyiple laced Partridge (is something as what you call "gray") so I crossed first all with these Silver Partridges to be sure that the birds I breed with are all Silver based (took 4 generations). The roosters I posted are from that 4th generation BlueSilver and BlackSilver (I had also WhiteSilver which is the equivalent of Columbian but I stopped with these because I wanted to give all my birds the "moarhead" = black crest and beard). From here I could go on for making the "new" colorations as Silver Quail, Blue Silver Quail, Dark Silver Partridge, Blue Silver Partridge.
Was also the lavender Silver Quail but of them all my roosters died suddenly this winter !!
Indeed!! I have Polish, so YES it is so true!! LOL
Hysterical!!
Anyone??I have a question. I just got 2 black chicks that each have a pink toenail. How bad is that? They are about a month old.
