Hope to keep up your thread...photos later. Good luck
Thank you for the info, sherb is so gorgeous, hope mine gets as pretty, thanks againThat is blue and not black in the wing and exactly where mine is marked so I'm pretty confident He is a splash partridge - like my Sherbert![]()
Heres a picture of my Sherb, you can see the blue splashing in his wing kind of, he also has it in his tail - he didn't get that blue/splash color until he started getting older. He is now 7 months old

Interesting! Today is the day I have planned for updated pics, and I think I have some partridges, so I'll have to post pics. I've got one that's been consistently rumbling with my sultan cockerel(s) {only one is a confirmed boy, but I'm pretty sure the other one is, too} that I'd think was a boy. I'll try and get to this this afternoon, barring catastrophe.Depends on the coloration, Partridges you can tell from day 1 !
He is Splash. Blues are everything in between the range of Black-- can also look black, except they have a steel grey under color (for Blue). Splash are mottled and spotted, like yours. Blues are solid. Your roo is a very typical looking Splash.
He looks almost lavender, but I don't think he is... Definitely get a picture of him outside in diffused light (not direct sunlight). Your second chick's picture at 2 weeks old is already showing his slow growth there. My two week olds are taller and have a LOT more feathers in. That is just crazy!!! He is adorable, but it's incredible the size and growth difference!
My Silkies hatched! Here are some pictures..need to know about that one..hope the picture shows it ok, I know it's a partridge, but I was wondering if it is a silver partridge..the back stripes are silver, and the wings are silvery.
I do see some brown in there. hmmmm?
One of my favs...
I got a showgirl..will be interesting, new to me.

Boy, I'm stumped. Could be splash or maybe a white with a silver gene. I have seen photos on here of whites with a silver cast and I forget what it's attributed to. Hopefully someone else can help. I is amazing how ting that little chick still is!Peepblessed,
I think I am going to need to take Einstein outside this week to get an accurate color. I took these pics, but they make it look very dingy, almost dirty. I tried to get my husband to fan out the feathers. Einstein was a little resistant.
Here are some pics as a chick. Again, seemed like a little bit of grayish or a dingy white even as a chick. I included a pic of Scrambled too. Because it is hard to believe scrambled is sooooo small. They were actually the same size when I bought them. Unfortunately, someone borrowed my camera the week I took these, so these are pics from my phone.

I don't think it's gray but possibly blue partridge. It's likely to early to tell. A partridge breeder might know. Have you been on the partridge thread? So does anyone have a guess as to what my colored chick is? I'm guessing a Partridge..but what color? Would it be a splash partridge since it has silver and the brown in it?
Your chick is either Regular (Gold) partridge blue partridge or Gray (also called silver partridge)My Silkies hatched!
