Silkie thread!

Thanks for the reply on gender.  Also thanks to Sonoran Silkies.  I was afraid by the attitude that she was a he.  I guess time is the only way we will know for certain, however, he is going to have to be really tough since my daughter named him "Birdie-Num-Nums"!:lau

My 12 week old was crowing for the first time this morning. I did know he was a boy since he was about 2 months old.:)

Quote: They should be adult sizes. There was a lot of discussion about whether to get ladies versus unisex shirts and what colours. I was hoping for pre-orders so that people could get whatever they want, and the upfront payments would also cover and lower costs for items to be held in stock. Unfortunately that wasn't the way things went, and since I am not doing the work, I can't reasonably complain about it. I do appreciate that there were people willing to take on the task, and I know it can't have been easy deciding how to go when dozens of alternatives were proposed.

My two Silkie bantam chicks "Batman and Robin" are almost two months old

They are my first Silkies and I am absolutely in love with them! They are so gentle and easy going. I am not sure about their gender but they will have a forever home with me regardless. Silkies are the best!!

I ordered the size I usually wear and I hope it's not too small... you know how it is. I can be a size 8.5 in shoes typically and then I buy a different brand and suddenly I am a 10! I would have gone in for pre-order! I just hope I don't have to give this shirt to my oldest boy. ha!

I didn't include photos earlier because she is kind of skittish and I couldn't get her to stop running. Today I put
her up in the nesting boxes and I was able to snap these shots.

I
I THINK SHE'S BEAUTIFUL. THE COLORS IN HER FEATHERS LOOK LIKE A LIGHT GRAY TO A BLUISH/GREEN ON THE TIPS OF THE FEATHERS ON HER NECK.
