**** STUPID QUESTION ALERT:

Is it common/typical for just one wing to be split? One wing is good, the other split?

This isn't a dumb question at all! I was just having a wing discussion with someone else and this is something I didn't think about. I haven't had experience with one bad wing and one that is fine. Seems kind of odd, but probably no more so than all the other mutations that only effect one foot, or one side of the bird. Great question! Wish I knew the answer to this one! Maybe one of our more informed breeders will show up for this one. And if you find out later-- please post and tell us what you have learned! I have an 11 wk old bird that is showing split wing right now. I know now that I am supposed to wait until the bird is much older to evaluate the bird, but wondering if it seems so obvious now, how much better it could look. Anyway, I think a wing discussion would be excellent! (But my bird is showing a split on BOTH wings)

now if I know one of my polish tolbunt is a rooster and is chest bumping my white silkie does that make my white silkie a roo that is 2 months old if it chest bumps back? Sorry 4 the dumb question lol. I thought mybe the chicken know who is who maybe.
