I'm new to silkies, and wondered what you guys think of colors on these. I know sex is DIFFICULT to know, but what are some things to look out for?
Thanks!

Just wondering..... Would you consider the first two porcelain or a white splash? Would the second be Lavendar or light blue? The last one is a blue splash? Thanks for the help

White will throw whatever is in the background of that particular bird.  So the answer is-- Who knows?!  There would be no way of knowing.  That pairing would not breed true for any color at all.  If she is wanting more white-- she needs to get a white bird to pair it with.  If she is wanting the BBS colors (blue, black, splash)-- then pair her blue with any bird from that color.  But as a general guide... like colors go with like colors to stay in SOP colors.

She likes the mixture of chickens, so.I think she is.going to.wee.what.she.gets with the.two for rum. She is the type who prefers the "mutts"

Spent most of the day yesterday hanging out with my silkies! I have all ages in one pen. 3 hens, 1 rooster as well as 5 juveniles, and 7 'kids' silkies.
So here are my adults:

The molting Pearl #3 - notice how big the cochin x barred rock is in comparison - and the baby is only 10 weeks old.

Daddy Steve
I'm numbering the babies as who belongs to which hen. All but 2 are fathered by Steve. The 2 that aren't fathered by Steve are fathered by George:

gorgeous flock, one of these days I gotta post pictures!!!

Okay, so my partridge roo and hen got their first baths today. My little one helped me but we didn't have enough hands to take pics. They were both really good. They LOVED the blowdryer! They both basically just laid themselves out to enjoy the heat, so cute.
