no, probably nothing at this point will hurt it. I think it's beyond that. I don't know if chickens can have penicillin or not, but I would be injecting it with something. Which is why I think a vet visit might be best to figure out what drug to use.
That is great looking!! Something to work towards!!My Silkie coop has the attached covered run, hardware cloth on the sides plus an apron of hardware cloth all the way around. Mine has just the dirt/grass floor but it doesn't seem to get that wet with the rain so mud has not been a problem. I don't have roosts in the coop since my guys all sleep in the puppy piles, although they love to play on the roosts out in their run (both large rocks and pvc roosts). Their nest boxes are on the floor of the coop, too.

The little chick that almost bled to death when it pushed out of its shell is getting stronger. But, I noticed yesterday that one of its little legs was stuck outward, like it couldn't walk on it. It may be splayed, though I'm not sure why, other than it was so weak for over 12 hours it may have laid with that leg awkwardly for some time. I have it in hobbles since last night, hoping it will improve, but it seems to just keep falling forward and to the side. It also seems to barely have a peep, very hoarse sounding...it is so much better, but anyone have suggestions? How long will splayed leg last, ususally? I've been giving it poly-vi-sol laced sugar water and it is eating and pecking at others....I just feel so bad for it and hope it ends up normal.
I'm not sure if that made sense...the coops are almost on stilts... with the plywood as the base of the coop enclosure and run.
are you sure you have a girl? Sounds like you have two boys! Unless that bird is laying you eggs each day, I think it's getting it's little boy groove on.
