does anyone have a hen who is just a smaller girl, I got two chicks at about2 1/2 months old. They have been healthy and I treat for Cocci every few months, my one black hen is so petite. The other chick who turned out to be a roo is full sized she is about 2/3 the size of my other hens which is not way smaller but significantly different. She is now about 6 months old is she done growing? She is the sweetest girl ever. And hangs with the roo I got her with, she is really sweet and gentle. Just curious if she is just going to be smaller.

Have you weighed her?

I have a hen like this. Her babies have outgrown her by 12 weeks.

I am not sure about the crowing part It seems to make sense he wouldn't crow as much~but what do I know?

Thank you Basel. Everybody has such nice silkies it makes me want to get some real pretty ones too. Mine are all molting now too. Their not molting fast though. (sure wish I lived closer to Cali 4 Knee aa I seem to be having some problems with my computer. any hoo
