I was laughing by myself as I was reading your comment because I am usually not that lucky. Actually, I really think I got lucky because I was asking some questions about the little guy and they were telling me a man really wanted him yesterday but didn't get him right away because his coop was not ready. He didn't want to pay to put him on "hold" but said he was going to come back this week. I got him on time lol! If I got him so quick it's because of all of you guys... I wasn't sure because I have 6 white chicks right now waiting to be sexed, so I was really uncertain on getting him.Good one Poulettes! I was afraid you would go back and he would be gone. (that would have been my luck - ha! ha!)
I think he is a beauty. Looks like all the other chickens are going - "hey, who's the new guy!!!"![]()
These pix are so beautiful!! And your model is STELLAR!So I've been playing photographer again. I started a 4 week online pet photography class and the first assignment was to take pictures of your own pet using natural lighting only in 3 different ways, indoors and outdoors. So my little partridge pullet(?) got to be the model for this week!I'm starting to think that this one is a girl. Makes all the girly noises and looks an awful lot like a little lady. The chicks are three months and one week old now. And for some reason, the name Molly seems to fit for this one.![]()

These three shots are just a fraction of the pictures I took with a black background. I'll post more later when I edit.
I'm thinking I'll use this last shot for the side light option for my assignment. Now I need to pick two more out of the 135 pictures I took. But Molly was a star! lol![]()

Sanna, these are really super photos! I also took a college photography class. It was the most fun I ever had in school! I don't know what's making that bright orange color but that's a boy color. Maybe it's just the lighting. So I've been playing photographer again. It is difficult to see in the photos but he may have "slipped wing" where the primaries fold in front of the secondaries instead of under the secondaries as they should. If so, it may or may not be a hereditary fault. It can be caused by early diet.I was laughing by myself as I was reading your comment because I am usually not that lucky. I really like his feet... lot of feathers! I just have to check (again) his wings, I am still not sure if he has split wings... hopefully not. I am still learning on those split wings. Either way, if his wings are soso (but not split) I am pretty sure I will keep him.I don't think the new chicks I have right now will have that kind of feet lol.![]()
Thanks again to everyone for being so nice and sincere... you guys really help me on being so quick![]()
