The easiest thing I have found that works well is Ivomectin pour-on. Used correctly, it is safe. Use around 3-4 drops on the comb, depending on size.

He's not bad in type, colour could be worked on. Is he bantam?
Needs to be an old lady name. My silkies are: Lorraine, Pearl, Phyllis, Agatha, Flora Mae and Gretta.Aw, aoxa! Love the pix! I'm a Phyllis Phan so even if she wasn't in a picture mood she is still gorgeous...
That nameless parti pullet is beautiful, too! She definitely needs a regal name...time to mull that one over...
Thank you for sharing!e
Luv your birds!!! and your photos too!!!...Picture time anyone?![]()
I took pictures for the first time in 3 weeks. It's been so cold and dark out. Yesterday was really nice, and we had the day off (Canadian Veterans day - we call it Remembrance Day).

Broody mama Janet is still with her chicks.. even though they are not really chicks anymore.. They are now 10 weeks old believe it or not... she is very attached. Not even attempting to show them how to roost yet.Maybe it is because she is finishing up a molt? I have no clue, but it's really cute to see these older chicks stuffed under mama at night.![]()

We've been doing fermented feed for everyone for 2 weeks now. They absolutely love it, and they've never been so shiny![]()

One of Janet's babies. It's not splash.. though it looks a bit like it.. She/he is mixed colouring. Once grown, and if it doesn't have any leakage, I'll then call it splashCan you call something that doesn't have BBS parents splash?![]()

Partridge - Janet's baby. I'm guessing boy.
This one is 8 weeks. She took in a few chicks that hatched after her own did. This was one of them.

The partridge boy. Still all pin feathers in his beard and crest. No crowing or mating attempts yet. He's 24 weeks old now.

This one is 14 weeks old I believe.. Yeah.. Pretty sure.. Also pretty sure it's a girl. There are two boys out of these ones, and their combs are obvious. This one has no comb at all.

LOL, That is funny! NO>>>I haven't heard of that group and I will most definitely go and join. Thanks Pam. The show in Dalton is the 24th and it is at the GA Fair grounds. It is supposed to be HUGE lots bigger than Calhoun. I hope to go too and maybe we will actually get to see each other, haha.

Here is my hatchery Polish- I don't think her feathers are lace well enough to show. You'd have to look closely. The other one had a crossed beak and was a total mess. He's not bad in type, colour could be worked on. Is he bantam?
I find lacing can be tough to work on with hatchery birds. I find the hatcheries do golden laced better than silver, but really don't do well with buff laced or white crested black. However, his crest is nice!![]()
Needs to be an old lady name. My silkies are: Lorraine, Pearl, Phyllis, Agatha, Flora Mae and Gretta.
We have a lot of other old lady names for other breeds:![]()
Martha, Bertha, Wanda, Mabel, Ruby, Murtle, etc.. I can't think of them all right nowSo early!![]()
Thanks for the compliments! Gretta is my favourite little girl. She is just the sweetest thing. I don't have to chase her at all. She is so easy to handle and doesn't put up a fight. Probably because she can't see![]()
