Silkie thread!

ACV is not known to help cure wry neck. However, it will help with the overall health of the bird.
Braggs is another common brand of organic ACV, which my local grocery store is starting to carry. It's hidden in the natural food section instead of with the regular vinegars.
Aoxa,
Are you feeding your silkies the fermented feed? Do you see a positive change in them? I subscribed to the Fermented Feed thread but just haven't had time to get past the first few pages.

Yes my silkies LOVE the FF. I drain it from water well for the silkies, so it is an oatmeal consistency. I do notice changes. Their feathers look nicer, Pearl lays bigger - stronger eggs, and their poop is firm and smell free. They were never sick, so I can't say it improved their health, but it sure helps my pocket book :p

And their faces when I serve it.. They are really happy with the feed. They go nuts!

How long does it take for a silkie roosters comb to come in? My silkies aree about maybe 2 to 3 months? If I have to I'll post pictures of what they're looking like now, I'm hoping both are girls!

I have a kiddo that this doing hatch rates of chicken eggs and really wants to hatch out black silkies and araucana chickens. Is anyone interested in selling like 4-6 black silkie eggs to a 3rd grader? They do not have to be super awesome chickens, but that would be cool. Please let me know ASAP!

Color experts, what color would you consider this? I call her chocolate (her name is Cocoa) and I guess this would not be a recognized color if it is. Her body is a dark chocolate color and her beard and petticoat fluff is a lighter milk chocolate color. Also what color would be best to breed her if I wanted to continue working on this. I really love it!

I have some black chicks, but they look blue to me. Is this normal? When do they usually start getting darker? Any tips on how to differentiate them right after they hatch?
