Well, I didn't know where this question went, to be honest. So if it's wrong, I am sincerely sorry, Moderators and can you move it where it needs to be?

I was hoping someone could help me about what color this Silkie is?

It's a bluish-grey all over - no black. I hope the picture shows it correctly.
Thanks!

I bought 2 blue almost 2 months ago. One is now white and the other is blue. They can really change color as they get a little older!

I agree. It will most likely be white. Give it a few days and watch it's wing feathers. I bet they come in a bright white!

Darn... I was hoping for a blue, splash or grey.

Looks like I am going to lose my black Silkie. I am really starting to think my husband is lacking in the common sense area. He was helping me clean the brooder for once and I usually take the chicks out that are under a week, and I remove all banties under 4 weeks. He left my 4 day old TTs and Silkies in the brooder while shop vacing and sucked my black Silkie up it. Of course, this is the 2nd Silkie he will have a hand in killing if it does die. The other had spraddle leg and fell in the water on his watch and instead of removing him instantly, he's saying, "The idiot just fell in the water..." I had to dig him out and my husband was closer. Guess who was the furthest away building a new brooder and got to the shop vac to get the chick out first? Yeah... Me. So, I was hoping this one would have a lovely, unique color since it isn't looking good for my black one.

If it helps any, he is much, much darker than any of the other "dark" whites that was in the bin at TSC. He doesn't have the typical grey/blue/beige tint the other whites had and usually have. Still a possible chance of a nice color? Also, don't some splashes get their 'splash' later on? I am asking because I saw a post asking about that but I didn't read it. Plus, I have Amberlinks that have been white up until this last week (they are 7 wks) - they are finally getting their lovely amber feathers!

Is it ok? You said "if" it dies....

He's limping on his left leg, but he's alive. I couldn't find any breaks, so I hope it's only a sprain. When I first got him out, I thought he was a goner. I was so mad at my husband!

Really, dealing with him on a daily basis is like...

As a bit of justice, he wrecked him motorcycle early Thursday morning and he has some serious road rash on his arm, knees and back. I just made him soak in a Epsom Salts bath. The baby couldn't hold him arm in the water for more than 8 sec. at a time. Now he's complaining he's in pain and it stings. Meanwhile, I sit here snickering under my breath!
